The Wireless Car Headphones for Kids by KIDZ GEAR have been wonderful for the whole family to enjoy. The wireless IR technology even impressed my husband as he too wore them to listen to the MN Twins baseball game as well as music from his computer. My daughter loved the wireless technology while watching her favorite Leap Frog movie, “ Talking Words Factory” . She loved moving around with out getting caught up in a cord. The best part was the range that she could walk and it was approx 8 feet before the Kids Gear Headphones would go out and stop working. Which, I thought was amazing.
Using the headphones in the car was the best; I did not have to worry about the kids getting tangles in the wires like I would with our old headphones. The installation was easy and quick, basically plug it in! So indeed, it was a battle between Daddy and Daughter as to who was going to use the wireless headphones. My daughter won the battle since I did note that it was made for kids. The only issue that was noted by both my husband and I was that while we were using the headphones to listen to music while working on the computer, it would just go out periodically and we would have to re-install and then it would work fine again.
He thought that it might have been because the headphones and the transmitter dropped once on the drive way. So, it might not be as durable if this glitch is the cause from a one time drop.
